Nigeria’s first batch of contingent to the 12th African Games has arrived in Rabat, Morocco.
The first batch comprises a team of eight judo athletes and officials, while other batches are being expected from Wednesday.
According to the flight schedule made available to our correspondent, the first batch went through a commercial flight.
The team departed for the Games in the early hours on Tuesday at Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos and arrived Casablanca Airport midday.
The second batch comprising male football and beach volleyball teams are expected to arrive Morroco on Wednesday (today), while the female football team players and officials would arrive on Thursday.
A total of 462 athletes and officials would be representing Nigeria in the 2019 editions as against 573 athletes who represented the country in 2015.
