Worried about the spate of poverty, herdsmen crisis, banditry, insecurity as well as kidnapping amongst others; the Association of Nigerian Authors maintains that, those vices do not deserve to break Nigeria into pieces.

The association’s chairman, Paul Oni stated this, while addressing newsmen at 2021 Wole Soyinka International Cultural Exchange to mark the 87th birthday of the Nobel Laureate in Abeokuta, the state capital.

He said, while Nigerian governments are working on recovering the nation’s economic, there is the need for everyone to come together to ensure the country do not break up.

Meanwhile, some of the guest participating public schools delivered speeches on the theme of the event; “That our Future May not Disappear”.
