Sadio Mane was the standout performer as he inspired Senegal to a 3-1 win against Burkina Faso which was them qualify for the final of this year’s AFCON.
It is back-to-back final appearance for Senegal who also made it to the final in 2019 where they lost to Algeria.
Senegal will now face either the Pharaohs of Egypt or hosts Cameroon in Sunday’s final.
Burkina Faso will feature in the third/fourth-place play-off, which has been brought forward a day to Saturday.
Meanwhile, Cameroon will square off with Egypt in a titanic 2021 Africa Cup of Nations encounter on Thursday.
The semi-final match between the two African heavyweights is scheduled to be played at the Stade Omnisport Paul Biya in Yaounde, Cameroon at 8pm.
Cameroon are hoping to book their place in the final for the eighth time having participated in the 1984, 1986, 1988, 2000, 2002, 2008, and 2017 finals.
