The Presidential candidate of People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has insisted that the result from the server of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, affirms that he defeated President Muhammadu Buhari in the recently concluded general polls.
The former Vice President in his petition submitted at the Tribunal claimed he polled a total of 18,356,732 votes to defeat Buhari, who, according to him, polled 16,741,430 votes.
This is in contrast to the result declared by INEC from the 36 states and FCT, showing that Buhari polled 15,191,847, while Atiku came second with 11,262,978 votes.
In response to Atiku’s claim, INEC said that the results being paraded by Abubakar are fabricated and not from its website.
However, Atiku in his response to the INEC’s submission said the address of the server from which the results were obtained are unique to INEC.
