Bandits Invade Katsina Town, Kill 9

Bandits in their numbers have raided Danmusa town, the headquarters of Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State, killing nine residents.

According to reports, the gunmen stormed the town on Sunday at about 8 p.m. and remained there for hours, killing nine people, including a police officer.

Unconfirmed sources in the neighbourhood claimed that the attackers may be out for vengeance after one of the bandits’ leaders was slain by the recently appointed community watch corps in the local government.
