BREAKING: Appeal Court affirms Alia’s election as Benue governor
The Court of Appeal in Abuja has dismissed the appeal by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the last governorship election in Benue State, Titus Uba.
The appeal had contested the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal’s September 23 ruling, which had denied their request to have Hyacinth Alia of the All Progressives Congress (APC) declared the victor of the March 18 governorship race.
In a unanimous ruling, a three-person panel of the court found that the appeal lacked substance and addressed the three questions that were narrowed down for resolution against the appellants
