The Interim Management Committee, IMC, of the Niger Delta Development Commission, again, came under fire in the National Assembly on Tuesday over alleged 143billion naira missing from the 2019 budget of the Commission.

The Acting Managing Director of the IMC, Professor Daniel Pondei, in his presentation before the National Assembly joint committee on Niger Delta, stated that the Commission received ‘Three Hundred and Five Point Five Billion Naira’ as revenue in the 2019 and spent ‘ One hundred and twenty-two billion Naira’ from the amount received with the balance of ‘One Hundred and Eighty-Three Billion Naira

However, the Chairman of House of Representatives Committee on NDDC, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo queried the Managing Director on some discrepancies observed in the report

After deliberations, the Committee decided to grant the request of NDDC Boss to withdraw the 2019 budget details in order to address the missing N143 billion  raised by the Committee.

The budget presentation was then adjourned till next week Tuesday.
