Doctor Counsels Nigerians Against Abuse and Misuse of Antibiotics
DR. ADEDOTUN AYODELE a MEDICAL PRACTITIONER has discussed extensively on stv newshub the use, misuse and abuse of anti-bioics as well as other drugs.
He stated that antibiotic cures but people must get proper prescription before using them.
According to him, there are differences between drug abuse and misuse as well as the danger of Antibiotic abuse and misuse.
To him, microbes develop antimicrobial resistance, which is a result of abuse of antibiotic drug.
As he put it, “When a patient has been using a particular antibiotic indiscriminately, there comes a time when the microbes will be used to the drug and develop a resistance for it.
