The Ekiti State Government says its partnering traditional rulers and community leaders in the process of enactment of
laws for orderliness in the administration of justice in the State.
The Attorney General of the State and Commissioner for Justice, Wale Fapohunda stated this at an Interactive Forum with
traditional rulers in Ado Ekiti, the State capital.
The Attorney-General said the greatest evil currently confronting the State is sexual violence and child defilement . He
requested for inputs from the traditional rulers on laws that would help in the
fight against the scourge as well as that of land grabbing, street trading and sexual violence.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that, the traditional rulers put their suggestions together and submit them to the
Office of the Commissioner on or before the end of April 2019.
