Food Insecurity: FG Meets More State Governors

As part of measures to address the issues affecting food security in Nigeria, the Federal Government has held a consultative meeting with governors of Kwara, Kogi, Ondo and Taraba States.

Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari who hosted Governors Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, Usman Ododo, Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Agbu Kefas in his office in Abuja expressed excitement over the manner the Governors are keying into the food security programmes of the federal government.

Speaking on behalf of the four Governors, the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq,, emphasized the need for more investment in agriculture in order for Nigeria to feed itself and export food.
