Fuel Hike: Reps Reject Suspension of Neww Pump Price, Summons NNPCL GMD

The House of Representative has rejected the the call for the suspension of the new fuel pump price of 617 Naira per liter, by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) pending the outcome of its investigation.

This follow a motion of urgent public importance sponsored by a lawmaker from Imo State, Hon Ikenga Ugochinyere on the need to investigate the incessant hike in fuel pump price by NNPCL.

The mover of the motion, had earlier called for the suspension of the new pump price and summoning of the Group Managing Director of the NNPCL, Mele Kyari to the house.

However, a lawmaker from Adamawa State while amending the motion called for the suspension of the new fuel pump price which was rejected by the house.
