Imo APC Receives Decamped-Federal-Lawmakers, 5,000 Others From APGA, PDP

Massive defection has occurred from various political parties in Imo state especially the peoples Democratic Party PDP and the all progressive grand alliance APGA into the all progressive congress APC.

The defection had three serving federal lawmakers, Hon Bede Eke member representing Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala federal constituency, Henry Nwanuba member representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru federal constituency and Hon Ikenna Elezianya among host of others.

Receiving them officially into the party in Owerri the Imo state capital, the chairman of the party Mr MacDonald Ebere alongside other leaders present them the broom which is the symbol of the party.

The Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma express profound gratitude to the decamped political leaders for deeming it fit to join the ruling party, he said the step will foster a better and prosperous Imo state.

In his remark Bede Eke said they didn’t join the party because they want to, but rather they were all attracted by the monumental achievements of the governor Sen. Hope Uzodimma who is the leader of the party in the state.

They vow to offer the needed political backing that will usher him in for his second tenure.
