Martin Amaewhule Emerges As Speaker, Rivers House of Assembly
The member representing Obio Akpor constituency one in the Rivers state house of assembly,MARTIN AMAEWHULE has been elected as the new speaker of the house.
MARTIN AMAEWHULE emerged through a unanimous vote by the thirty two members of the house shortly after Governor SIMINALAYI FUBARA proclaimed the tenth assembly.
The member representing Okrika state constituency,LINDA SOMIARI STEWART led the nomination of MARTIN AMAEWHULE and was seconded by the member representing Akuku Toru constituency one, MAJOR JACK.
Our correspondent reports that the member representing Gokana state constituency,DUMLE MAOL is the new deputy speaker of the Rivers state house of assembly.
- His nomination was led by the member representing Asari Toru constituency two,ENEMI GEORGE and seconded by the member representing Eleme constituency, AFORJI IGWE.
