The new Inspector General of Police (IGP) Adamu Mohammed has appointed Frank Mba as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police.
Speaking during the decoration ceremony at the Force Headquarters in Abuja where other nine Senior Officers were promoted, the IG particularly commended Mr. Mba for his commitment and dedication to Service.
IGP Abubakar said, “particularly the Force Public Relations Officer, who came in almost three years ago and demonstrated that he could bring professionalism, even though not a Journalist but a Lawyer and a Policeman, has changed the face of Police image today.
“It is so glaring. I believe his promotion came because of his commitment and dedication and act of loyalty to the Service, Country and changing the face of the Police image in this country and the world over”, he added.
The police spokesman, who hails from Ezimo in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, was the best graduating Cadet Inspector in academics at the Police Academy, Kano, in 1993.
He rose up the Police ladder and was promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1999, Deputy Superintendent of Police in 2003, Superintendent of Police in 2006 and Chief Superintendent of Police in 2012.
Until his appointment, the new Force Spokesman was at the Special Fraud Unit, Ikoyi, Lagos.
