Governor Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has given security agencies in the state a 7-day ultimatum to fish out the
armed bandits that killed 16 people in Numa Kochu village of Akwanga Local Government Area.
He gave the order on when he visited the injured victims at Akwanga General Hospital on Tuesday.
He said: “I promised that the government would treat the incident with all the seriousness it deserves. The attack was
unwarranted and worrisome owing to the fact that the state has enjoyed relative peace in the last three years. This is
something we are going to take seriously.
“We are going to have a Security Council meeting and I have already directed security operatives to ensure that they fish out
these people and bring them to book.
