The Nigeria Immigration Service INTERPOL i-24/7 desk on Monday uploaded about 15,000 stolen and lost travel documents to the INTERPOL Global System in Lyon, France.

The NIS spokesman, DCI Sunday James, in a statement on Tuesday, said the development would help prevent identity theft, frauds and other organised crimes.

The feat was achieved with the support of the INTERPOL Global System, Lyon, France; United States National Central Bureau, Washington; NCB, Abuja and the NIS team.
