Edo election: PSC to monitor conducts of police officers

To monitor conducts of over 31, 000 police officers deployed to provide security during Saturday’s Governorship Election in Edo State, a high powered monitoring team of the Police Service Commission has also arrived Benin City, the state capital

The team led by Rommy Mom, Commissioner representing the Human Rights Organizations in the Commission and also includes Commissioner, Austin Braimoh, representing the Media.

The Commission in statement cautions all Police Officers on electoral duty in Edo State to operate with the ambit of the electoral laws, warning that any unprofessional conducts would not be tolerated and the officer caught will face the wrath of the law

Statement signed by Ikechukwu Ani, the Commission Head of Media and Public Relations also release dedicated telephone numbers for complaints and commendation on the conduct of Police during the exercise.
