COVID-19 palliatives: Lawmakers blame state governments over looting of warehouses

In the past few days, the country has witnessed massive looting of warehouses where covid 19 palliatives had been stored in different states of the Federation.

The Senator representing Taraba central, Yusuf Yusuf has laid the blame on the various state governments for refusing to distribute the covid 19 palliatives allocated to their states.

Also reacting to the situation, the Senator representing Cross River South, Gershom Bassey says the people are sending a clear message to their leaders on the need for good governance and the government is beginning to listen.

The Senator, whose home in Calabar was also looted, said assessment on the level of damage done to his house in Calabar is still ongoing but quite a number of the items looted are being recovered.
