A delocalized meeting of the ECOWAS parliament began on Tuesday in Cotonou, the capital of Benin republic.
At the meeting, the ECOWAS parliament joint committee on trade, customs and free movement as well as that of macroeconomic policy and economic research will be discussing the prospects and challenges of the African continental free trade area.
The public accounts, administration, finance and budget committee will also be a part of the meeting
The meeting is holding a time the sub region is dealing with issues such as terrorism, the covid-19 pandemic and protectionism.
