The commission said ABIRU polled eighty-nine thousand two hundred and four votes to defeat his closest rival, BABATUNDE GBADAMOSI of the Peoples Democratic Party, who scored eleven point two hundred and fifty-seven votes.
It said ABIRU won in all the five local government areas in the senatorial district.
Candidates from twelve political parties are contesting in the Lagos East Senatorial bye-elections while eight candidates are contesting the Kosofe Constituency eleven, Lagos State House of Assembly bye-elections.
The senatorial seat became vacant following the death of Senator BAYO OSHINOWO earlier this year.
