The Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari’s position on the Ondo State Governor- Rotimi Akeredolu’s seven-day ultimatum to unregistered herdsmen to vacate the state
This was contained in a statement released on Wednesday by the group’s National Publicity Secretary, Yinka Odumakin
The group says the Presidency’s stand on the matter further shows its non-pretence as representing the Fulani interest above other tribes in the country.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, had on Tuesday, stated that the President called for restraint on the matter by both the state government and the Fulani communities
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, has also placed a ban on underage grazing, night grazing, movement of cattle within the cities and highways.
