Imo state imposes dusk till dawn curfew in Orlu over unrest

by Kunle Awosiyan

The Governor of Imo state has imposed 6pm to 6am curfew in nine local government areas in Orlu to check the rising case of insecurity in the area.

This is coming following reports of a clash between self acclaimed IPOB’s Eastern Security Network and troops from the Nigerian Army.

The clash was said to have occurred when the meeting by men of the non Eastern security network recently launched by the leader of the proscribed indigineous people of Biafra IPOB Nnamdi Kanu took a violent turned as police tried to stop them from having their already ongoing meeting somewhere at banana junction in Orlu.
