Leprosy in Kano: govt enrolls 526 patients for healthcare

THE KANO State government has said it enrolled FIVE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SIX leprosy patients for basic health care under the state’s Contributory Healthcare Management Agency last year.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr Ibrahim Tsanyawa, made this known ON MONDAY in Kano at a conference to commemorate this year’s World Leprosy Day and World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day.

The Commissioner said, patients enrolled in the scheme were among OVER FOUR THOUSANDS people with disabilities, expected to access free health care services at primary and secondary levels.
