Labour leaders in Ondo state have protested against the removal of minimum wage from an exclusive legislative list in the nation’s constitution.

The labour leaders who converged at the Reuben Fasoranti park in Akure, marched to the state house of assembly chanting solidarity songs in line with the directive from the NLC headquarters .

They described this latest move as a way of enslaving workers by the government of the day, stressing that it will bring to the workers untold hardship.

Addressing the protesting labour leaders, the Speaker of the state house of assembly, Bamidele Olayelogun said the assembly is in support of the workers’ protest.

According to him, members of the assembly will resist any move to enslave the Nigerian workers.
