Insecurity: senate in closed door session with service chiefs

The Senate is currently meeting with the nation service chiefs and heads of other security agencies in the country, in response to an invitation by the Senate last week over the security situation in the country.
The security chiefs in attendance at the upper chamber, include the Chief of Defence Staff, Lucky Irabor; Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru; Chief of Naval Staff, Awwal Gambo, and Chief of Air Staff, Isiaka Amao.
Also present are the Director Generals of the State Security Service, National Intelligence Agency, and the Defence Intelligence Agency as well as the Acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba.
Before going into an executive session, President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan appealed to the heads of Nigeria’s security apparatus to be honest with lawmakers on the situation of things, assuring that they have the red chambers full support in the fight against insecurity.
