by Kunle Awosiyan

Some Chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC say the Minority judgment by the Supreme Court justices on the Ondo Governorship has swept the carpet of legality off the Caretaker Committee of the APC rendering it of no legal capacity to undertake any action on behalf and in the name of the Party.

This is contained in a joint statement authored by a special adviser to the President on political matters, Senator BABAFEMI OJUDU and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator ITA ENANG.

The duo added that the ruling which allegedly queried the competence of governor Mai Mala Buni is as the Caretaker Chairman of the party has brought to question the legality of ALL the actions taken by the committee since inception.

They therefore urged the party to PAUSE ALL ACTIVITIES, RETREAT TO APPRAISE Legality so as TO AVOID any damage.
