The Federal Government may sanction eligible Nigerians who refuse COVID-19 vaccination.
The hint was dropped on Tuesday by the Executive Director of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA), Faisal Shuaib, at a briefing in Abuja.
Shuaib says government may “apply the basic rule of law” against such people as they pose danger to lives of others
He further said government was exploring ways of making vaccines more available to all Nigerians and once the they are made equitably available, there would be the need to have a frank discussion about justice, fairness and liberty that exist around vaccine hesitancy.
Recall that Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, had last week announced that from September 15, anyone who has not been vaccinated would be barred from public places such as banks and worship centres.
