A powerful earthquake has struck the pacific coast of Mexico, close to the resort of Acapulco.
The magnitude-seven quake was also felt strongly around 370 kilometres away in Mexico city, sending residents and tourists spilling into the streets from homes and hotels. Power cuts were reported in several states
One man was reportedly killed by a falling post in the nearby city of Coyuca de Benitez.
Meanwhile, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador says there’s no reports of major damage across the country.
