The Nigeria Police Force has launched a manhunt for a self-confessed gay, one Kukui Seubo Kayode who evaded arrest over this social crime.

The police have also put family and friends of Kayode under surveillance and threats of arrest for failing to produce him or give clues on his whereabouts that could lead to his ultimate arrest.

Meanwhile, these family members have become so apprehensive of his safety as his whereabouts remain unknown.

A family member who passionately pleaded anonymity with our correspondent stated that Kayode is suspected to have been on the wanted list of security operatives, having once escaped arrest when he was allegedly caught engaging in homosexual activity with a supposed boss in Lagos about two years ago.

Kayode was said to have been arrested alongside his gay partner and charged to court but escaped on transit to court with some other suspects while his gay partner faced prosecution. According to the apprehensive family representative, Kayode whose whereabouts are still unknown is suspected to be on the run out of the country.

The main cause of worry for Kayode’s family now is the total darkness covering all information on his whereabouts.

“Our fear now is that let it not be that anything evil had happened to him.

“Kayode is not a criminal, although our society frowns at homosexual practice, I believe he has his own social life to live the way he chooses to and should not be killed for it as long he has not caused any harm to the neighborhood”; the source posited,” the family member said.
