Olubadan in Council Endorses Lekan Balogun

The tussle surrounding who will succeed the late Olubadan of Ibadan Oba Salihu Adetunji Aje Ogunguniso may have finally been laid to rest after ten from eleven members of the Olubadan in council endorse the candidacy of former senator Lekan Balogun as the substantive Oba elect.

The council made the confirmation Wednesday at a press conference held at Mapo hall in Ibadan.

The gathering started with a minute silence to the departed Olubadan Oba Salihu Adetunji Aje Ogunguniso.
Senator Lekan Balogun in his speech condole with with the family of the late Oba and the chief mourner the Oyo state governor Seyi Makinde.

The Oba in council member Tajudeen Ajibola who is the Otun Balogun said contrary to speculation that their is a court case stalling the process of installing the New Olubadan is a mere rumour.
