In Ogun State, students’ community are ready to support government in its efforts to curbing financial crimes; this follows the declaration of war on internet fraudsters, kidnappers and other related crimes by governor Dapo ABIODUN at the launch of OP-MESA last week.

At a press briefing held in Abeokuta the Ogun state capital, representatives of the student body noted that the time to tame the ugly trend that has brought societal values to ridicule is now.

While expressing interest to partner with the Ogun State government and other security agencies to ensure that such persons are tracked, arrested and prosecuted according to the laws of the land, they said no student will be shielded.

Ogunronbi said he was disturbed at the figure on internet fraudsters rolled out by the governor, stating that the students body is not in agreement with the figure.

He however warned overzealous and unprofessional security personnel to stop the arrest of innocent students under the guise of trailing suspected internet fraudsters.
