Two PDP Chairmen Emerge in Ekiti

A fresh crisis has hit the State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ekiti State over who becomes the Chairman of the party.

This is just as the a group loyal to the former Governor, Ayo Fayose have now pitched their tent to elect another party Chairman different from the anointed candidate of the former governor.

Two men, Alaba Agboola and Deji Ogunsakin have now emerged the State Chairman of the party in fierce battle that erupted on Monday morning in the state.

Speaking to journalists, the state Publicity secretary of the party, Raphael Adeyanju said that the State Executive Committee, (SEC) of the Ekiti State Chapter of Peoples’ Democratic Party has ratified the appointment of the former Chairman, Ado LG and former 2018 Deputy Governorship Candidate of the party, Hon Deji Ogunsakin as the New State Chairman of PDP.

Meanwhile State Publicity Secretary of PDP Funmilayo Ogun said the appointment is in line with section 47(6) of the party constitution, the State Working Committee of the party has elected another Chairman, Alaba Agboola whom she said was generally ratified by the state executives committee.
