Following the crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ekiti State, the Leadership of the party has pleaded with the reconciliation and peace committee set up by the party to do whatever it can to facilitate peace within warring factions in the party.

Recently, some members of the Ekiti APC led by the Special Adviser to President Buhari on Political Affairs, Senator Babafemi Ojudu dragged the Party to court over the composition of the state working committee, while the 13 Ward Chairmen in Ado Local Government responded by returning palliative Items sent to them by the Presidential Aide.

State Chairman of the party, Paul Omotosho who inaugurated the Reconciliation and Peace Committee chaired by a former State Chairman of the party, Jide Awe said members would identify intra-party conflict, perceived misunderstanding in any of the local governments and wards across the state in ensuring a lasting peace among members of the party.

Other Members of the Committee include, former Party Executive Members, Former Political Appointees and a veteran Journalist to serve as the Secretary.
