Ondo deputy governor, Ajayi dumps PDP again, heads to ZLP

The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi has resigned his membership of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

The chairman of the PDP in Apoi Ward 2 of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, Festus Oboro acknowledged the receipt of the resignation letter on 9th of August, 2020.

In the resignation letter, the the Deputy Governor bases the decision on the call from people for him to govern the state by contesting the October 10 Governorship Election in the state on any platform.

The Deputy Governor who left the All Progressives Congress, APC to rejoin the PDP on the 21st of June 2020, contested the party’s primary election held on the 22nd of July, 2020, but came second.

Information have it that he had been adopted by the National Executive Council of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP to replace Rotimi Benjamin as the flagbearer of the party in the October 10 Governorship Election.
