Two hundred and ninety new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, bringing the total number in the country to 46, 867. It was the second-lowest daily figure since June eight.
Lagos and Plateau accounted for eighty-two of the cases, with Oyo recording 19 new cases. FCT 18, Edo 16, Kaduna 15, Enugu and Ogun nine, while Kano and Kwara have eight cases each.
Five cases were confirmed in Cross River, Ondo, and Rivers, four cases in Ekiti, three in Imo, and two in Borno.
Thirty-three thousand, three hundred and forty-six cases have been discharged, with 950 deaths.
Current active cases in Nigeria now stand at 12, 571.
