Former Super Eagles and Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is expected to have a medical at Stoke City on Monday ahead of a move to the Sky Bet Championship side.
The 33-year-old Mikel, who is a free agent following his departure from Trabzonspor in March, is set to have a medical at Stoke City on Monday.
The former Chelsea midfielder will sign a one-year-deal with the Potters.
The 33-year-old has had detailed talks with manager Michael O’Neil and is prepared to help the club push for promotion to the Premier League next season.
Mikel won two Premier League titles, three FA Cups, the Champions League and Europa League during his 11-year stay at Chelsea.
He had a brief stint with another Championship club Middlebrought last year.
