Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has been made the permanent chairman of the Emirate Council
The Kano State House of Assembly, during its plenary presided over by the Speaker, Abdulazeez Gafasa, on Tuesday adopted the Emirate Council Amendment Bill, 2020 to effect the pronouncement.
Last year, the assembly approved the creation of four new emirate councils, which brought the number of first-class emirs in the state to five.
The new emirates are: Rano, Bichi, Gaya, and Karaye, which joined the Kano Emirate Council.
