Nigerian Army Intercepts Truck Load of Marijuana in Ogun

Troops  of the Nigerian Army operating in 81 division area of responsibility have again intercepted a suspected international drug syndicate smuggling a truck load of substance suspected to be cannabis sativa commonly known as Marijuana on its way to Sango Otta in Ogun State.

The Director of Army public relations Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu in à press statement said the the troops who acted on actionable intelligence conducted a stop and search operations along ajilete road in Yewa south local government area of ogun state

Th troops intercepted and impounded the suspected truck without registration number loaded with 397 wraps of the substance.

Investigations revealed that the illicit substance concealed in the truck were transported from Ghana.
Matthew Ededge, a citizen of Benin-Republic and Joshua Dansu of Idi-Iroko were arrested.
