NiMet, NHSA warn against high-risk flooding in Gombe

The Nigerian Hydrological Services Agency and NiMET have reported flooding in three Gombe State local government districts: Nafada, Yamaltu/Deba, and Balanga.

The State Government has taken preemptive measures to minimise the consequences of floods and environmental issues.

The Ministry of Environment and Forest Resources has been ordered to coordinate with stakeholders and mobilise emergency response resources.

The task force will discuss potential incidents and their effects through frequent consultative meetings.
