It took the intervention of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike to save Mrs. Joy Nunieh as police stormed the residence of the former Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC on Thursday.
The police arrived the Port Harcourt residence of Nunieh early Thursday, a scenario the former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has described as an attempt to abduct the former managing director.
In his tweets, Fani-Kayode says “Gov. Wike saved Joy Nunieh’s life today. The police raid on her house at 4.00am was illegal and was NOT backed by a warrant or authorised by the I-G. It was simply Wike’s arrival on the scene that broke the siege and saved her life. I commend him.”
