Security agents seal off PDP secretariat in Ondo
The State Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akure, Ondo State, has allegedly been sealed by the security agencies in the state.
The entrance to the secretariat was heavily guarded on Monday morning by armed security personnel, including members of the state police command and their equivalents from the Directorate of State Security. At the secretariat’s door, their cars were spotted parked.
As a result of fear of possible harassment, members of the party’s staff chose not to enter the secretariat to resume work.
It was learned that the police’s purported deployment in the area is connected to the party youths’ planned protest against Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s absence from the state.
