Subsidy Removal; NLC Threatens Fresh Strike Over Rumoured N720 Fuel Pump Price

SUBSIDY REMOVAL: NLC THREATENS ANOTHER STRIKE OVER RUMOURED N720 FUEL PUMP PRICE

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has threatened a nationwide strike if petrol prices exceed N617.

Quoting the media reports of a potential increase in pump prices, the labour union issued a warning that it would go on strike without giving notice.

Currently the petrol prices have increased twice since President Tinubu removed the subsidy on PMS.

This has put the administration and labour on a collision course, with the NLC’s national president, Joe Ajaero, stating that the union will oppose future price increases.
