Subsidy Removal: Tinubu Writes Reps, Seeks N500bn For Palliatives
President Bola Tinubu has requested the House of Representatives to amend the 2022 Supplementary Appropriations Act to add N500 billion for emergency measures.
The request was made in a letter that the House Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, read at Wednesday’s plenary.
The additional budget, N819,536,937,813, is being added by President Tinubu.
The budget was proposed for capital projects in 2022 due to floods, but its life has been extended until December 31.
