Subsidy Removal: NULGE demands 300% minimum wage increment

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has demanded a 300% increment in the minimum wage for workers in all industries due to inflation caused by the removal of fuel subsidy.

The union’s president, Ambali Olatunji, and general secretary, Isah Gambo, signed a communique stating that the increase is essential due to the elimination of fuel subsidy for local government employees.

He claimed that the NULGE supports the increase for all local government and public employees, including private sector employees.
