U17 AFCON: Ugbade Proud Of Eaglets, Targets Better Outing Against South Africa

Even though they lost to Morocco, coach Nduka Ugbade has said he is proud of his Golden Eaglets.

The 2-time champions suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat to the North African in the second group game played on Wednesday in Constantine.

During a post-match conference, the former Nigeria international praised his players and said things like that happens in football sometimes.

Nigeria last won the U17 AFCON title in 2007.

WHILE, South Africa defeated Zambia 3-2 in their second game in Group B to keep their 2023 African Nations Cup hopes of qualifying for the quarter-final alive.

The Amajimbos lost their group opener with a 2-0 defeat to Morocco while Zambia fell to a 1-0 loss to Nigeria.
