UNGA 78: Only 15% of SDGs targets are on track – UN
The United Nations has said that only 15 per cent of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets are on track, calling on key actors to rescue the goals.
At the start of SDG Action Weekend on Saturday at the UN headquarters in New York, UN Secretary-General António Guterres urged civil society actors to utilise their impassioned voices and vivacious grassroots networks to save the SDGs.
The UN welcomed a variety of actors ahead of Tuesday’s high-level opening of the General Assembly, which is expected to be attended by world leaders.
