Unionism: Ogun Students’ Leaders Accuse Gov. Abiodun’s Aide of Assault, Threat to Life

Some students leaders in Ogun State have appealed to Governor Dapo Abiodun to rescue them from further attacks, alleging that the Governor’s aide on Students Affairs, Azeez Adeyemo of assault on them during one of their stakeholder meetings in Abeokuta, the state capital.

They are former Chairmen of National Association of Nigerian Students NANS, Falola Ahmed and Tomiwa Bamgbose as well as National Association of Polytechnic Students NAPS, Adeboye Ijaduoye and students.

While speaking to newsmen at the NUJ secretariat, the students leaders disclosed that Adeyemi stormed the venue of their meeting with over 100 thugs to unleash terror on them, inflicting various degrees of injuries on them, adding that the attackers also damaged their cars worth millions of naira parked at the venue.

They also accused Adeyemi of masterminding kidnappings of some students leaders in the State, calling security agencies to investigate the incident and brought to book perpetrators of the dastardly acts.

When contacted for reaction over various allegations levelled against him, Mr. Adeyemo declined comment despite effoets to get him on camera.
