10 killed, Seven Injured In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Auto Crash

It was a black Tuesday for the families of victims of an auto crash on the popular Lagos-Ibadan Expressway as 10 passengers were confirmed dead when two vehicles crashed around 5am.

 The accident occurred around the kara turning, towards the interchange area of the highway.

A spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, command in Ogun State, Florence Okpe says seven other persons were injured.

She gave the details of the two vehicles as an ash-coloured Toyota Haice bus and an orange-coloured Iveco truck .

She said a total of 18 male adults were involved in the crash, with excessive speeding being the likely cause of the accident.
