NDPC to partner VCs on students’ data protection

The Nigerian Data Protection Commission (NDPC) has announced that it will work in tandem with the Committee of Vice Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU) to ensure that student data is protected at their institutions.

The two came to an understanding while Dr. Vincent Olatunji, the National Commissioner of NDPC, was receiving a working visit from Prof. Yakubu Ochefu, the Secretary General of CVCNU, and his team in Abuja.

Olatunji claimed in a statement released by Mr. Itunu Dosekun, Head, Media Unit, that numerous pieces of data were being exposed in higher institutions.
