Sanwo-Olu Swears In 37 Commissioners, Special Advisers

Sanwo-Olu swears in 37 commissioners, special advisers

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, swore in 37 commissioners and special advisers.

The swearing-in ceremony marked the beginning of the governor’s second term in office and took place in the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium in Alausa, Ikeja.

The Lagos State House of Assembly confirmed 38 nominees for the governor’s cabinet following two screening processes that resulted in the rejection of certain candidates. The final nominee, Tolani Akibu, was confirmed less than 24 hours before the swearing-in event.

A former General Manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, Dr Dolapo Fasawe, who was among the confirmed nominees, was not included in the governor’s inaugurated cabinet because President Bola Tinubu appointed her as secretary of the Health and Human Services Secretariat in Abuja.
